Bio
Julie Wulf has worked in corporate strategy and governance in both academic institutions and the private sector. She most recently was on the faculty at the Harvard Business School and prior to that, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Wulf’s research broadly examines governance, internal labor markets, and the strategy and performance of organizations. Her academic writings have been published in leading economics, finance, and management journals. She has also written articles for practitioner publications (e.g., Harvard Business Review) and has taught numerous courses in strategic management. Julie has held several positions in the private sector including Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development at American Express and Senior Associate at Booz & Co. She also co-founded a private equity real estate investment firm, served as a director and member of the compensation committee, and remains a principal shareholder. She currently serves on both private sector and non-profit boards. She is a Faculty Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and holds a PhD in Economics from Columbia University, MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, MBA from New York University, and BSc from the University of California. |
